Position Overview:
The Administrative Float provides comprehensive administrative support across all areas of the clinic. This position ensures smooth daily operations by providing coverage and assistance wherever needed, including the front desk, referral management, answering the phones and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage and support for various administrative roles throughout the clinic.
  • Send, track, and follow up on patient referrals.
  •  Contact patients to schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Perform front desk duties, including patient check-in and check-out.
  • Manage incoming faxes, lab results, and electronic correspondence.
  • Handle incoming calls and messages in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative tasks as required.
  • Assist with scanning, filing, and document management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; experience with Telus PS Suite is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
