PART-TIME RPN
Family practice physician seeking a part-time RPN to join our healthcare team-based interdisciplinary medical practice in East Hamilton. Work hours will be 3 full days per week.
JOB SUMMARY
Working under the direction of the physician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care.
DUTIES
Provide direct patient care in our family practice clinic with a focus on compassion and empathy
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes promptly
Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies
Utilize medical terminology accurately in documentation and communication
Handle acute care situations with professionalism and efficiency
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Utilize electronic health record systems effectively
EXPERIENCE
Valid registration with Ontario Nursing Association
Proficiency in medication administration and patient assessment
Prior experience of at least 2 years, in a team-based family practice clinic is preferred
Experience working with children and families is a plus
Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Telus PS Suite
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams

Starting salary $30 per hour
