Dr. Dhalla
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Casual Part Time – 2 days per week (Friday and one other day M-W)
Family practice clinic in Hamilton (Suburban Mountain Area, Upper Ottawa/Rymal)
Scope of work focuses on clinical and chronic disease management, same day appointments, acute care and support for the RPN team.
Position has the future possibility of including partial remote work.
Education and Experience:
• Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Extended Class – RN(EC))
• Master’s degree in nursing (Primary Health Care NP preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in primary care or community setting preferred
• Demonstrated leadership in interprofessional care and program innovation
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Telus PS preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
• Advanced clinical knowledge in family medicine, preventative care, chronic disease management and mental health
• Advanced understanding and application of population health principles including awareness of social determinants of health, health equity and trauma informed care
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid -19.
